Talent Showcase

The Talent Showcase, "Flying High" will be next Thursday April 27th at 6pm at the Alpine Church. All those participating need to send their music along with their introductions to Amber, no later than this Thursday April 20th by 8pm. to LLAPTODropbox@gmail.com 

Make sure the music is cut, it if it needs to be. We will see the students at a mandatory rehearsal Monday the 24th from 3:15-5:15pm!

PTO Meeting - THIS THURSDAY

Hi Parents!!


PTO Meeting: We will be having our meeting in the Library this Thursday 04/20/2017 @ 7pm. If you would like to help out next year or are interested in a board position please come to this meeting.

The following positions are the ones that we still need filled for next year: 

President-Elect 
GENERAL DUTIES:
Assist the PTO Executive Board in developing the PTO annual budget, establishing and overseeing committees, establishing fundraising programs, and approving expenditures. Oversee the committee system of the PTO. Assist the President, and chair meetings in the absence of the President. Become President the following year.


Secretary
GENERAL DUTIES: Keep binder with historic and current PTO records, Tax ID info, Current Bylaws, Minutes and other PTO records.Prepare agendas for PTO meetings. Record and distribute minutes of all Executive PTO Board and General PTO meetings. Assist PTO Executive Board in developing the PTO annual budget, establishing and overseeing committees, establishing fundraising programs, and approving expenditures. Create and maintain Bulletin Board. Create and maintain monthly newsletter.


Treasurer
GENERAL DUTIES: Assist the PTO Executive Board in developing the PTO annual budget, establishing and overseeing committees, establishing fundraising programs, and approving expenditures. Serve as custodian of the PTO’s finances, collect revenue, pay authorized expenses, follow all financial policies of the PTO, and hold all financial records. Record all financial activity in a computer-based or manual accounting system. Reconcile the account(s) monthly and report all financial activity monthly. Arrange an independent review of its financial records each year. 


Event Coordinator Day Events
GENERAL DUTIES: Plan events. Oversee events.
PROGRAMS/EVENTS: Programs/Events to supervise or coordinate (if applicable): 5K, School Shirts, $1 Dress-down Days – Last Friday of every month.

Chick-Fil-A Night, Birthday Table, PTO Info

Hi Parents!


Chic--Fil-A Night: We are going to be doing Chic-Fil-A Night on Wednesday April 12th from 5pm-7pm. 

Birthday Table: The birthday table is Tuesday April 11th.

Classic Skate Night, Talent Show, Clubs

Hi Parents!!

Here is some info regarding upcoming events at LLA:

Classic Skate Night: The PTO free family skate night is Wednesday March 15th, 2017 from 5-9pm. Regular skate rentals are $1, Blades are $3 and up, and scooters are $3. You may bring your own skates, blades, or scooters. There are also discount activities available each are $3: Extreme Inflatable Park, Pirates Cove, Laser Tag, Bowling, or you can do unlimited activities for $5. The new gravity ropes course is $7 for up to 30 minutes. It is school spirit night so wear the school colors. There is also a $3 Dinner Deal Available: Nachos or pizza $ drink, or hotdog, chips, & drink!

Talent Show Preview: There will be a talent show preview on 03/23/2017.

Clubs: We are looking for parent volunteers to run one more round of after school clubs. These clubs will be a little different. During the month of April we will be holding "camps" You pick the subject, you pick the length (3 -5 days), and you get to have all the fun. These camps will run for one week after school on any subject you choose. If your interested email llaafterschoolclubs@gmail.com for questions or ideas.

Book Fair: Thank you to everyone that came to the book fair and supported the school. Because of your support the school was able to purchase $2.600.00 worth of new books for the school and some of the older books in library to be donated to the new Ogden Campus, so thank you for all of your support you guys are all amazing!

Free Dress: There will be a free Green Dress Down Day on St. Patrick's Day, Friday 03/17/2017!

PTO Meeting: We will be having our monthly PTO Meeting this Thursday 03/16/2017 @ 7pm. We will be accepting nominations for the PTO Board for next year. There will be a separate email sent with the positions available and the position descriptions. If there is anything that you would want to do to help but don't want as big of a role please come to the meeting or email us and we can let you know what is available :)

On February 28th and March 1st student's will be allowed to bring a loved one to lunch with them and each student can get 20% off of their books from the book fair that is going on during lunch. If you plan on eating school lunch please call and let the front office know the day before to ensure that there will be enough food. You are allowed to bring in outside lunch for your student as well.Make sure that you stop by the Book Fair!

Fundraising Money:
We have had parents ask about where the money that we have been fundraising is going so we thought that we would answer that question. We are going to be upgrading and getting some new playground equipment, we will also be donating money to the library for new books, and we bought new sleds for the students. If you have any suggestions as to where you would like the money to be spent please send us an email, we love suggestions and input. 

Girls on the Run:
When you register online please use the code RUNLLA to get the discounted rate. We will send out another email when we find out how to get people the refund if you have already paid for the Girls on the Run and paid the full price.

CandyGrams, Box Tops, and Book Fair, OH MY!!

CANDYGRAMS: The Student Service Council will be selling candygrams 02/06 -02/10 before school in the Library or you can fill out a form that was sent home with your student and send it with your student to hand in to their teachers.  They will be selling pencils (.25), heart sucker (.75), box of chocolates (2.00) or a chocolate rose (2.50). Please fill out one form per order if need more they are in the front office. The candygrams will be handed out on 02/14.

PTO Update

Dear Parents,

The rest of our SLEDS ARE HERE! Each cluster has received sleds for use at recess. Please remember to label all of your student's snow gear!

LLA Clubs, Movie Night & MORE!!

LLA HOODIES - NEW PRICES: Hoodies are now available for $15. The carnival shirts and the spirit shirts from last year (red tie dye) are available for $6. While supplies last. Please put payment into an envelope with your child's name, homeroom, and shirt size, and drop envelope into the PTO box in the office.

WINTER CLUBS: Registration will begin next week. Look for available clubs tomorrow.

It's time to start thinking about clubs that begin will begin later this month. We are looking for volunteers who be willing to head up any kind of club. This is a great way to get your volunteer hours and spend time with the amazing kids at our school. Clubs will begin on Tuesday, January 17th and run for 6 weeks. 

Examples of clubs available include (but not limited to):
* Lego
* Cooking
* Sports
* Chess
* Community service
* Drama
* Magic
* Photography
* Scrapbooking
* Sewing
* Writing
* Anything that is interesting to you!
